The Superhero Tri, powered by npower

This summer, npower will be supporting the Superhero Tri which takes place on 19th August at Dorney Lake in Windsor.

The Superhero Tri, powered by npower, invites people with all kinds of disabilities to fly solo, or unite with family and friends to take on unique triathlon challenges. With the Superhero Tri event just days away, we would like to introduce to you…Team npower.

Captaining the team is double Paralympic champion sprinter Jonnie Peacock, MBE. Having recently taken the gold at the World Para-athletics Championships, Jonnie is hard at work training our superhero competition winners:

Taking part in the 350m swim is Amy, 19, from Blackpool. She enjoys wheelchair basketball, kayaking and, of course, swimming. Taking part in parasport has allowed her to have fun, meet new people, and accept her disability.

Cycling the 3km track is Matt, 20, from Essex. He loves taking part in athletics and cycling as a great way to unwind and chill out. If he had a super power it would be super speed because he just loves sprinting... we’re sure that would give Jonnie a run for his money.
