Fair energy prices
We’re always trying to find ways to help customers get our best deal, and were happy to share our plans when Which? challenged all energy suppliers.
We welcome this campaign by Which? challenging us to make sure customers always get our best deal, especially those who are on Standard Variable Tariffs (SVTs).
npower already has some of the most engaged customers of any major supplier – around one million customers switched to another of our tariffs last year. And we’ve already seen a stark reduction in the number of our customers on SVTs: our SVT customer base has dropped by 32% since January 2014.
We’ve worked hard to change how we talk to customers. For example, by listening and working with customers directly, we completely redesigned our bill – it’s really simple and clearly shows them the best deal they can get.
We also regularly remind customers about our cheapest tariffs and make it easy to switch to them. This can be done by speaking to one of our customer service agents based in the North East of England via our website www.npower.com or via our freephone customer service number 0800 073 3000.
However, we‘re not complacent and Which? are right – we can always do more. And that’s why we have plans in place to continue to engage our customers during 2017 and beyond. We want to make sure that as many as possible are on the tariff which best suits their needs and lifestyles.
