Landlords, letting agents and housing associations
Tell us when a tenant is moving
It's easy to tell us when there’s someone moving in or out of a property. If it's a business paying for the energy at the property, we'll need you to contact our Business Movers Team.
Otherwise, you're in the right place. It's helpful to give us around 2 days' notice and have the following information to hand:
- The new tenant’s details - only once you’ve let your tenants know you'll be providing this information on their behalf, and they haven’t objected.
- Any gaps in the tenancy - as the landlord you're responsible for the energy during this period.
- The previous occupier’s or tenant’s details - including their forwarding address.
