Macmillan’s Energy Advice Team

One of the main reasons people call the Macmillan Support Line is to ask for help with their finances. That’s why we help fund Energy Advisors to offer advice and source funding* for people living with cancer, regardless of who supplies their energy.

So far the team has helped over 5,500 people and unlocked over £4 million of funding.

What is the Macmillan Fund and how can it help?

npower’s Macmillan Fund provides vital support to customers undergoing cancer treatment, allowing them to focus on their health instead of their energy bills.

Our aim is to help remove some of the concerns around energy costs by capping energy bills and in some cases, we will also support by writing off debt too. Through this scheme we’ve already helped over 4,800 cancer patients. We can:

  • talk to you about your concerns and review your account
  • help find the best solution for you
  • put you in contact with people who may be able to help with things other than your energy
  • put you in touch with Macmillan

If you’re living with cancer and struggling to pay your energy bills we may be able to help. If you’d like to talk to someone or need advice and support contact:

Macmillan Cancer Support on 0808 808 0000 Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm for more information.

Calls are free of charge from consumer landlines and mobile phones. If calling from another line, please check with your provider.

Or you can visit macmillan.org.uk/keepwarm for more information.
