How do I move home with npower?

We want to help make your move go as smoothly as possible and letting us know online is the quickest and easiest way to get everything sorted, whether you already have an npower account or are new to npower.

Tell us you're moving online

You can tell us up to 28 days in advance of your move.

Make sure you have these things handy when telling us you're moving:

  • Your current and new addresses
  • Date you stop/start being legally responsible for the properties
  • Final meter readings (unless you have a Smart meter)

If you're already with npower, you can log in to your online account to let us know or tell us just using your account number, last name and postcode.

You can usually take your existing tariff and how you pay for your energy with you - if not, we can help you find the best plan for you.

If we don't already supply the energy at your new address, we can sort that out for you and make sure you get the best tariff and payment options.

If you're moving to a new home but don't know who supplies the energy there, you can learn how to find out your supplier on the Ofgem website.
