Why am I receiving meter read reminders?

You’ll automatically receive meter reading reminders if you’re on our online tariff:

  • Reminders are a condition of this tariff and were set up at the start of your contract.
  • They help to make sure we get regular meter readings. This means we maintain an up-to-date view of your energy use, and you don’t pay us too much (or too little), for the amount of energy you use.

If you want to stop receiving meter reading reminders (and you’re not on an online tariff), the easiest way to do this is to update the reminder preferences in your online account. Log in and head to the 'Profile' tab.

It takes less than a minute to send us a meter reading, using your online account. Your account will automatically update within 24 hours.

If you prefer to talk to us about your meter reading reminders, you can chat to one of our team Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
