When do you need my first meter reading?
If you've recently joined us and haven't sent a meter reading yet, don't worry - we'll let you know when we need one.
If you're using Welcome Centre, we'll do this by sending you an email.
Once you've sent your readings to us, we'll pass them on to your old supplier so you can get a final bill from them. We'll also use them to create your first bill or statement with us, but we may have to use an estimate if your reading fails a validation check.
It's important you send us your readings in good time - if not we may have to estimate your bill using history from your previous supplier, and it won't be as accurate.
If you have a pre-payment meter and forget to send us readings, don't worry - we'll get one automatically when you top up your new card.
