How do I arrange for my gas meter to be moved?

If you wish to move your gas meter we are able to do this for you as long as the meter move does not exceed 1 metre in distance and the meter remains on the existing backboard and is on an internal wall. If the meter is to be moved over 1 metre, or is on an external wall,  you will need to contact your gas transporter first to arrange new pipework and get a quote from them.

Once a quote has been accepted and an appointment with your gas transporter is agreed, please then contact us and we will endeavour to arrange for the meter to be reconnected to the new location on the same day. To help us do this for you, please provide us with as much notice as possible, ideally at least 10 working days.  Our Siteworks & Service Alterations team can be contacted on 0800 316 9583 for landlines and 0330 1008 604 from mobiles.

Phone calls: Calling us on a 0800 number is normally free when you call from a landline but charges may vary if you use a mobile. Calling us on a 0330 number will cost you no more than 01 or 02 numbers from landlines or mobiles. If you get 'inclusive minutes' with your package, calls on a 0330 number will be part of these.
