Times are tough. Every single day, thousands of people up and down the country have a massive decision to make:

29% of the UK population are concerned that they will have to go without gas or electricity for a period of time this winter.

Countless others will go without hot food in order to pay
for the energy to heat their homes.

To heat or eat?
It’s a truly heartbreaking dilemma for any family to face. And one we sprung on a group of unsuspecting diners attending the launch of our new one-off ‘pop-up-restaurant’ – FUEL.

Watch this unique social experiment – created in partnership with leading austerity chef, food writer and activist, Jack Monroe – below.

Empowering people in crisis with Fuel bank®

To heat? Or eat? Our Fuel Banks are helping to reduce the number of people with pre-payment meters left facing this tough decision.

Working in partnership with The Trussell Trust in 62 foodbanks across the country, we’ve been able to bring emergency energy top-ups to 70,000 people in fuel crisis and counting.

We’ve committed £1million a year to continue funding the Fuel Banks already in place until 2020. But, with over 1,000 foodbanks across the UK, we need your support to take this scheme nationwide.

Introducing the npower Foundation
