National Gas Emergency Service engineers will turn up within 30 minutes. If it's an external gas leak they'll fix it free of charge. If it's an indoor gas leak they'll spend just 30 minutes trying to locate and fix it.
If the National Gas Emergency Service can't fix an internal gas leak within that time, they'll turn your supply off. It's then up to you to get it repaired and to pay for the repair.
