The table below applies for npower customers, supplied under the following Electricity Supply Licences: Npower Limited; Npower Northern Limited; Npower Yorkshire Limited and Npower Direct Limited.
Between April 2006 and March 2007 the electricity npower supplied was from the following fuel sources.
Fuel mix for npower customers
| Fuel type | Percentage used |
|---|---|
| Coal | 44% |
| Natural Gas | 37% |
| Nuclear | 13% |
| Renewable (biomass, wind, hydro and solar power) |

| Other | 3% |
The environmental impact information per kWh of electricity supplied by npower is provided below calculated on the basis of figures provided by the BERR (details of these can be found at the BERR website).
The weighted average of the carbon dioxide emitted in the production of electricity from each fuel source is 543 grams per kWh.
The radioactive waste, being fuel burnt in the reactor to be subsequently discharged as spent fuel, is 0.00145 grams per kWh.
