Volunteering as an e-mentor

Without leaving her desk, Jags Parekh, from our Major Business Accounts department supports children in the Leeds Education Action Zone by helping with their homework via email. The trusting relationship she builds with them doesn't just help at school – it builds their confidence and self esteem too.

By taking just a few hours a month out of my routine job, I know that I can make a real difference to the attitude and aspirations of a young person's life. I get enormous personal satisfaction from this and I'm proud to work for a company that gives its staff the chance to be involved.
