Stage 2: Installation

Once you're decided to have solar PV electricity, we will introduce you to our appointed contractor Ecofirst to carry out the installation. A member of their team will:

Visit your home to discuss your needs and assess suitability of a solar PV system
Design a system bespoke to your needs
Provide a detailed cost quotation.
Talk you through how to apply for a grant, including the paperwork to help finance the cost of installing your solar PV panels
Once approved, Ecofirst project manage the complete installation, including connection to your existing electricity supply. Generally installations take two days*.
Install the link to connect your solar PV panels to the National Grid so you can ‘export’ any excess energy, once you join our buy-back scheme.

Please note you will need to enter into a contract with Ecofirst before they carry out the installation. ^

* Average two day installation (based on 2kWp) is a guide only and installation could vary due to system size and uncontrollable factors such as adverse weather.

^ PV systems and their installation are supplied by Ecofirst and you will need to enter into a contract direct with Ecofirst for its supply and installation. Npower does not warrant or represent and is not responsible for the quality, fitness for purpose or otherwise of the PV system or its installation and any other equipment provided by Ecofirst, nor for the actions or omissions of Ecofirst or any installer used by Ecofirst.
