Betterware competition terms and conditions

  1. By calling our telephone number and receiving a quote from our sales team for our exclusive Betterware offer you will be entered into the free prize draw.  All participants will be deemed to have accepted, and be bound by, these terms and conditions, and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material as if they were set out in these terms and conditions. 
  2. Closing date for the free prize draw is 31st December 2010 and entries must be received by 2359 hrs on this date. 
  3. The 2 winners will be notified in writing by 31st January 2011.  
  4. The prize is free energy worth £625 per fuel during the first 12 month period of being an npower customer. 
  5. The prize will be awarded as a payment or credit upon provision of the first statement (prepayment customers) or bill (credit customers) after 1 February 2011, subject to and in accordance with the remaining terms and conditions. 
  6. If a winner is, on the relevant award dates referred to above, a prepayment meter customer for any fuel, the prize will be a cheque or post office voucher for £625 per relevant fuel. If a winner is a prepayment meter customer for electricity without mains gas the prize will be a cheque or post office voucher for £1250.  
  7. If a winner is, on the relevant award dates referred to above, a credit meter customer for any fuel, the prize may be a credit to the winner’s relevant fuel account. If the winner is a credit customer for electricity without mains gas then a credit of the full £1250 will be made to the winner’s npower electricity fuel account.  The winner can elect to receive a cheque for the full amount.   
  8. Any unused credit balance arising from the grant of the prize cannot be carried forward into the next 12 month period. 
  9. If the winner of the free energy changes supplier for either or both fuels, or does not consume gas and/or electricity to the value of the credit within the 12 month period, he/she will not be entitled to any refund of any unused part of the relevant credit. All gas and/or electricity consumed after the prize credit has been used up or the 12 month period has expired will be charged at their prevailing npower rate. 
  10. If the winner of the free energy is not an npower customer for gas and electricity or electricity only in the absence of mains gas at the time the draw is made, the winner can elect to receive a cheque for the full amount or can switch to npower and then have their account credited with the £1,250 prize (this option is not available to users of prepayment meters).  If the winner only purchases one fuel from npower at the time the prize is awarded, but is capable of taking supply of both fuels, the winner can elect to receive a cheque for the full amount or a cheque for £625 and credit for the £625, or can elect to switch to npower and have the full amount credited to their account. 
  11. The free prize draw is open to mainland UK residents aged 18 or over capable of being supplied by npower, excluding employees of the Promoter and its associated companies in the npower group and their immediate families or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.  Participants who are supplied by npower on the day that they phone for a quote are excluded from entering this prize draw. 
  12. There is only one entry permitted per household. No purchase is necessary for entry to the draw. 
  13. The winners may be asked to cooperate with the Promoter for publicity purposes if so required. 
  14. The Promoter has the right to disqualify any entry not made in accordance with these terms and conditions. Third party or bulk entries will be excluded from the draw. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are not received by the Promoter. There is no prize or cash alternative except as detailed in these terms and conditions and no element of the prize is transferable. 
  15. The winners will be the first two entries drawn at random by an independent person within 10 days after the closing date. For the name and county of the winners send a SAE marked “Betterware Free Energy” to npower, PO Box 130, Worcester, WR4 9ZX. All participants are deemed to consent to the use of their details in this way and to the publication of their name and county on the Betterware website in the event that they are a winner.
  16. In the event that the Promoter (having used its reasonable endeavours to do so) is unable to contact you within a reasonable period of the draw then the Promoter reserves the right to draw another winner. 
  17. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Business Football Saver

*This offer is subject to the following conditions:

  1. Savings are based on a projected annual spend calculated using electricity consumption information for the previous 12 months (which must be over 4,000 kWh). The renewal unit rate and standing charge from your existing supplier will be used to calculate an annual cost comparison value based on npower’s assumptions about usage patterns, and the prices quoted will reflect a 7% minimum reduction against this annual cost figure.
  2. For the purposes of the unit rate calculation, the first original written renewal quote received from your existing supplier is required to be provided and should have been issued within the preceding 5 days. npower may at its discretion accept or reject renewal quotes received outside of this period. Any subsequent or counter-offers received from your existing supplier or other supplier are not eligible for consideration. In the event that npower discovers that any written renewal quote provided is a counter or subsequent offer no savings discount will be applied.
  3. You have or are due to receive your first written renewal offer from your current supplier and your current supply contract expires within four months.
  4. Your meter configuration must be supported within npower’s charging structure.
  5. The unit price npower quotes is valid for a comparable contract period associated with the renewal.
  6. Supply must be for a single site, with a meter of profile class 3-8.
  7. This offer is available to non-npower electricity customers where they are contracting on their own behalf only. Where supply contracts are procured through any third party intermediary the offer is not available.
  8. This offer is subject to a valid contract for supply being agreed between npower and the customer and subject to npower’s terms and conditions of supply.
  9. The offer is based on the customer paying for electricity by Direct Debit.

  11. If a valid renewal letter is not submitted and a contract has been agreed between npower and the customer for supply, npower shall be entitled not to apply the savings discount to the customer’s account.
  12. The ‘£45 voucher’ is redeemable at any official Football League club shop. Only one voucher will be despatched to single site customers, regardless of the number of meters at that single site. There is no cash alternative. Vouchers are subject to issuer’s and other relevant terms and conditions. npower reserves the right to substitute the vouchers for other items of equal or greater value. npower accepts no liability for undelivered, lost, mislaid or delayed vouchers. Delivery of the vouchers will be made within six weeks of your supply start date for your first fuel.
  13. This offer is available until 29th October only.
