First Step Scheme
npower’s First Step Scheme offers advice and help if you're struggling to pay your npower bills. If you can't afford to keep your home warm, we may be able to offer you:
Help with your npower energy bills – our First Step advisors will work with you on a one-on-one basis to help you manage your energy bills. Together, we'll set up a payment plan that suits your circumstances, and you'll get lots of advice on how to save energy and money around your home.
First Step Fund – You may be eligible for help from our First Step Fund, which could clear all or part of your debt for you. We'll put your debt on hold for an agreed period of time, as long as you commit to a payment plan and keep up regular payments. After an agreed period of time (no less than six months) we may write off all, or some, of your debt. If you're in quite a lot of debt we may clear it in several instalments - as long as you keep up regular payments.
Spreading Warmth Tariff – If you meet certain eligibility criteria, we may offer you our Spreading Warmth Tariff, which offers significant savings on your energy bills. See details
