Gordon Brown launches Health Through Warmth, Swindon

We expanded the Health Through Warmth (HTW) scheme in 2008, and in October, Prime Minister Gordon Brown personally launched HTW in Swindon.

Speaking at the event, Gordon Brown emphasised the Government’s intentions to tell people how important it is to improve energy efficiency in their homes.

Our specially adapted HTW ‘Cold Bus’ was also there to help raise awareness of the scheme. Helen Bonner, Swindon’s HTW coordinator said, ‘The HTW bus is a great way to find out more about the scheme and the measures available. By showing people the difference between a cold, damp home and warm, well insulated one, it helps them realise what can be done to help.’
