Macmillan Cancer Support

Over the last year, our employees have taken part in a huge range of fundraising events for our charity partner, including the London Marathon and the Great North Run. Last September, they raised £45,000 for Macmillan in just one day at the World's Biggest Coffee Morning. The company then matched all the employees' fundraising efforts pound-for-pound.

As our relationship with Macmillan matures, we’re constantly developing new ways of working together. For example, the npower Fuel Management programme, designed to help people affected by cancer manage their fuel bills. This programme has helped over 800 npower customers to date.

For the first time in 2011, we hosted a 10k run at our head office in Swindon. More than 100 employees took part – including our Chief Executive, Volker Beckers – and we raised over £16,000 for Macmillan.

We will continue to support Macmillan in 2012 through a wide variety of fundraising events and are committed to working with the charity until the end of 2012.
