What is home insulation?

Home insulation is a way of preventing heat escaping from a property. Here at npower we offer two types of insulation; cavity wall and loft. Cavity Wall Insulation is generally suited to most houses built after the 1930s. It is pumped through small holes into the cavity between the two layers of external wall. The holes are then covered up again. Loft Insulation is rolled out and laid flat across the loft floor and is suitable for most houses regardless of age.

How much does it cost and save me?

Depending on your circumstances, you could even get home insulation measures free. Even if you don't meet the criteria though we can still offer you a great deal of £149* per measure.

If you currently have no loft insulation and you install the recommended 270mm depth you could save around £150 a year on your heating bills˜. Just insulating your cavity walls could you save you around £115 a year on your fuel bills˜.
