Our Carbon Footprint

"Society cannot ignore climate change – its impacts are being felt already and they will become much more widespread."
Dame Fiona Reynolds DBE, Director General of the National Trust

It affects almost everything that the National Trust does - from the way it looks after special places and historic buildings to the way in which it adapts to the changing conditions such as warmer temperatures and increased risk of floods. We need to do all we can to reduce our impact on the environment, and that means starting with the basics – using less energy and water, producing less waste.
