What is the Low Carbon Village Project?

The Low Carbon Village project is a joint initiative between npower and the National Trust.

We only need to turn on the television or pick up a newspaper to see pictures of melting ice glaciers, increasing energy bills and other stories about how climate change is already having an impact on our day to day lives. But what can each of us do about it today?

Through the Low Carbon Village project, npower and the National Trust aims to work with communities to tackle the disillusionment that many people feel about climate change. The aim is to develop positive and practical solutions that help people to reduce the carbon footprint of their homes and community.

npower are supporting this project at two National Trust owned villages - Cambo on the Wallington estate in Northumberland and Coleshill in Oxfordshire.
