Introduction
Coleshill village is the largest village on the Buscot & Coleshill estates, two traditional agricultural estates in rural Oxfordshire.
The village contains 62 properties owned by the National Trust. Most properties in the village are semi-detached with an average of 3 bedrooms. All of the buildings are pre 1930’s and whilst these houses mainly use gas, there are some that have oil or solid fuel as heating. Within the village there is a village pub and also a village shop run by volunteers from the village.
The Low Carbon Villages project was launched in September 2008 and the aim is for Coleshill to reduce its Carbon Footprint over a period of 3 years.
