Like most big companies, we share your credit information. It’s so we can stop things like identity fraud, but mostly to help spot when you’re struggling to pay your bills.

How does it affect me?

When we’ve sent you a bill or you have a payment due, we simply note when you’ve paid us and whether it was on time or not.

Then we share this with the Credit Reference Agency. They’re the people who decide on your credit rating that other lenders can see.

Pay on time and it will improve your credit score. And if you pay late, or don’t pay at all, it may affect your credit rating in a negative way.

What if I need help?

What if you make a mistake?

Please tell us if you think we’ve shared incorrect information about your account. We’ll look into the problem and correct any mistakes with the CRA.

How does this affect my credit score?

If you’re worried about your credit rating, it’s best to contact the CRA directly.

Different lenders have different rules depending on your payment history, so talking to a CRA advisor will give you a better idea of your credit. And they can look at your file and give you advice on how to improve your score.
