Fix your prices until May 2020. We’ll plant a tree for each fuel you get from us. Plus we’ll match all of the electricity and 15% of the gas you use with energy generated from renewable sources then feed the same amount back into the network. Are there environmental benefits?
We’ll match all of the electricity and 15% of the gas you use, depending on which fuels you get from us. We do this by purchasing the same amount of energy produced from renewable sources, and feeding this back in to the network.
Plus, when you start using gas or electricity on this tariff, we’ll work with Trees for Cities to plant a tree in the UK to help bring environmental benefits to local communities. So if you buy both your gas and electricity on this tariff two trees will be planted.
When green tariffs offer additional benefits to the environment – like lower carbon emissions or donations to an environmental charity we call this ‘additionality’.
Through our work with Trees for Cities this tariff offers additional benefits to the environment. And, we’ll be putting renewable energy back into the grid for the energy you use, which makes it greener than our other tariffs.
We’ve partnered with Trees for Cities – and we’ll pay them to plant a tree in the UK if you switch your energy to our Go Green Energy Fix May 2020 tariff. Switch over both your gas and electricity and we’ll plant two trees.
We’ve partnered with Carbon Clear, who’ve carried out an audit and given Go Green Energy Fix their stamp of assurance to say the tariff meets its green standards.
Are you new to npower? Good news. We’ve speeded up how long it takes to switch to us. On average, it now takes just 17 days. You can even track your switch with your online account.

We split the amount you pay us into two parts - the amount you pay for the energy you actually use, and also a standing charge for the cost of delivering and supplying energy to your home. You’ll pay a standing charge now matter how much you use. Standing charges vary depending on your tariff, and are different for gas compared to what they are for electricity.
Direct Debit Discounts
We’ll reduce your daily standing charge if you pay by Direct Debit. So over a year you’ll get £40 off your electricity and £50 off your gas. Subject to change.
We’ll use your own meter readings to create your bills whenever we can. If we can’t then we’ll estimate how much energy you’ve used, using industry standard information. Please note that our agents still need access to your meter to take readings sometimes and to carry out important safety checks.
