Fundraising

It's a REAL 24 Hour Challenge

We all have different likes and dislikes, and we’re all good at different things. So, everyone will have identified something that’s a real challenge for them, and for which they’ll be sponsored at least £20 if they overcome it.

There’s no set deadline to take part, but we do like the idea of doing something for (or within) a period of 24 hours. A sponsored silence, for example, feels more like a weekend activity than a work day option! And if the challenge is suited to another time in the year (climbing The Three Peaks, perhaps), then that’s fine too.

Here are some suggestions we offered our staff:

  • a sponsored 24 hour silence or a sponsored 24 hour famine
  • a 24 hour hike, a 24 hour football match or even a 24 hour squash game

It's our 10th year of supporting Macmillan and we’re marking the occasion with 10 fund-raising challenges. Through these, and our Coffee Morning and Christmas event, we hope to raise £150,000 that will help people affected by cancer manage their energy bills more easily.
