Llangollen school Ysgol Dinas Brân reclaimed an area in their town to create a Pond and Bog Garden for all to enjoy. The Climate Cops SOS students accessed local grants of over £6,000 to help with the project and the town now has a beautiful garden with a notice board showing information on the area’s fragile eco-systems.

Plans have been put in place to build bird hides, boxes and feeders making the already stunning garden even more eco-friendly.

Judge Ben Fogle commented:

"I have seen some stunningly beautiful natural wonders including the rainforests of Borneo and the Amazon, the tip of Mount Kilimanjaro and across the Sahara to the ancient city of Ghat and to know so many children are doing their bit to maintain these wonders is inspiring.
"Conducting an eco project in the local community may seem like a small contribution compared to saving the rainforest but it’s a big step on the way to making our world a greener place."
