Future Leaders
A UK-wide search
for young Antarctica explorers
Spring in Antarctica – Your chance to be there!
Identify and solve a sustainability project in your university or local community and win a trip for 4 to Antarctica with polar explorer Robert Swan OBE!
The npower Future Leaders Challenge is a nationwide search to find the UK’s top 4 keenest, greenest university students – to win an experience of a lifetime!
- To enter you will need to get together a team of 4 students from your university and produce a short 3-5 minute DVD showing a project you will do to get your community to be more sustainable.
- The 10 teams with the best projects will be invited to attend an interactive, team building weekend in the Lake District in October. This will develop team working skills and environmental knowledge and help with solving their project*, which needs to happen before the grand final in December.
*Each team will receive £500 towards funding their project.
The grand final in December
- Teams performances in the Lake District and completed projects will be judged and a winning team will be announced.
- The winning team of 4 students will win a place on the March 2010 International Antarctic Expedition with explorer Robert Swan – the first person to walk to both the North and South Poles.
