Cricket on steroids
It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s furious and it’s the sport everyone’s talking about. Yes, Twenty20 cricket smashes its way back on to the sporting calendar in England on the Wednesday 11 June when, amongst other games, defending champions Kent Spitfires take on the Sussex Sharks.
With all the skill of traditional cricket, Twenty20 is an action-packed three hour game, making it the perfect way to spend a summers evening. All the counties start in regional groups, eight make the quarter-finals, and it's topped off by an exciting Finals Day at the Rose Bowl in Hampshire.
A mix between the Olympic 400 metres and an episode of the 1960's cult TV show "It's A Knockout", the npower Derby is one of the highlights of an action packed day of cricket. The mascot race, will feature 18 weird and wonderful mascots - 15 from the County Championship, Sky’s Jack Russell and the npower Orbs.
