What to do and who to call

Electricity

If you have no electricity, your supply is disrupted in any way, or in case of emergency, please contact your Licensed Distribution System Operator (LDSO) immediately. 

You can find your LDSO by matching the first 2 digits of the Meter Point Administration Number on your electricity bill or supply agreement with those on the electricity contact details table.

Use the table to make a note of your LDSO now. Remember  to circulate it if you operate from multiple sites.

Gas

If you suspect a gas leak  you should contact the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111 999*. This telephone number is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you have had your gas supply cut off by a Network Engineer because of a fault with your meter please contact us on on 08701 611030 (8.30am – 5.30pm).

Out of hours, please contact our agent National Grid Metering on 0845 606 6766 (24 hours)If you have an EGS supplied meter please contact EGS on 01603 263004* (24 hrs).

What to do if you smell gas:

DON'T turn any electrical switches on or off

DON'T smoke, use matches or naked flames

DON'T use a mobile phone near a suspected leak

DON'T leave it to someone else to report the incident - you could be putting yourself and others at risk

DO put out naked flames

DO open doors and windows

DO keep people away from the affected area
