Make sure that you're taking your best option with npower. You’ll receive a £100 annual discount** when you take both electricity and gas from us and pay by monthly Direct Debit throughout the year. If you pay for just gas or electricity by monthly Direct Debit throughout the year you’ll receive a £20 annual discount.

Yes. If you take your gas or electricity from npower and pay by quarterly Direct Debit throughout the year you'll receive a £10 annual discount**, or £40 annual discount if you take both.*
We give a dual fuel discount to customers who pay for both fuels by monthly or quarterly Direct Debit because we benefit from the cost efficiency and cashflow advantage this automated payment method provides. No other payment methods offer all these.
Your 12 month discount period is set on the day you make the change to paying by monthly Direct Debit (MDD) and/or taking dual fuel by monthly Direct Debit from npower. If you already pay for one fuel by monthly Direct Debit and sign up for a second fuel we’ll pay you any discount you have accrued on your next bill. 12 months later we’ll give you your first £100 monthly Direct Debit dual fuel discount on your electricity bill.
Our best discount is £100 per year. To get this, take both fuels from us and pay by monthly Direct Debit throughout the year**.
If you currently take only one fuel from npower and pay for this by monthly Direct Debit, you’ll get an annual discount of £20. To increase your discount to £100 a year, switch to npower for the other fuel and make sure you choose to pay by monthly Direct Debit. If you currently buy one or both fuels from npower but pay on receipt of bill, you can earn yourself an annual discount (£20 for one fuel or £100 for both) by switching to monthly Direct Debit. Give us a call on the customer service number printed on your bill and ask to change your payment method.
Yes. Juice is available with the same discounts and at the same prices as our domestic electricity tariff.
*Assumes average annual consumption figures of 20,500kWh of mains gas and 3,300kWh of electricity, paying by quarterly cash/cheque or monthly Direct Debit. Includes British Gas and npower dual fuel discounts where appropriate. The savings include VAT at the reduced rate and are based on npower's standard domestic tariffs and those of British Gas for both electricity and gas. Excludes any internet tariffs, fixed and capped products. All prices correct as at 28/04/08
** Your annual discount: If you pay by Direct Debit continuously for 12 months (either by making monthly payments or by settling your quarterly bill in full by variable Direct Debit) we’ll give you a discount off your bill (£100 if you buy both electricity and gas, £50 if you buy just gas or £40 if you buy just electricity). Alternatively, if you pay for both fuels for 12 months by cash or cheque, either when you receive your quarterly bill or by regular monthly or fortnightly payments, we’ll give you a £10 Dual Fuel discount. Your discount will be credited to your account on or before the last day of the 12th month after becoming eligible and then on or before the same last day of each year you continue to pay this way. Dual fuel customers must pay for both fuels in one combined payment and accept a combined dual fuel bill or statement to receive a Dual Fuel discount. Certain tariffs are excluded.
