  2. To receive a smartpower electricity monitor you must be an npower gas or electricity customer, have opted to receive paperless billing on My npower and do not already have one registered to the property.
  3. One monitor only per household – includes monitors requested from previous npower offers.
  4. Open to customers only resident in Great Britain (not Northern Ireland).
  5. Eligible customers will receive one smartpower electricity monitor within 6 weeks of request.
  6. npower is not responsible for lost or delayed applications nor any delay or loss during delivery or postage.
  7. Monitor must be fitted in accordance with instruction manual and manufacturer’s instructions. Please ensure safe access to your meter and its cabling is available. If in doubt please consult a qualified electrician. npower is not responsible for any fitting costs.
  8. The monitor must be installed within 30 meters of the electricity meter.
  9. For use only with an electricity meter in domestic properties.
  10. Electricity usage/costs displayed are approximate only and should not be used to calculate your electricity bill.
  11. We use information about customers to whom we have given monitors to report to Ofgem on our compliance with our obligations to achieve and report on our carbon emissions reductions targets. We will use your details to send you surveys about your usage of the monitor as this will help us learn more about energy saving in the home. We will share details relating to your property/installation, but not your name, with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (and where appropriate the Scottish Government and Welsh Assembly Government) and the Energy Saving Trust.
  12. The information will be treated in strict confidence in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the Code of Practice for Official Statistics, and will only be used for the purposes of research and statistical analysis and to assist in the targeting of energy saving activity.
